Earlier Shri Oommen Chandy, top congress Leader inagurated the 80th birthday celebrations of senior BJP leader and former Union Minister O Rajagopal at VJT Hall, Thiruvanantha-puram on September 29.He said "Rajagopal is a simple, humble and ideal politician, worthy of emulating. “Rajagopal is a role model for future and present politicians,” he emphasised.

“I had the honour to participate in the first public reception, given to him in Kottayam, after he became Union Minister in 1999. O Rajagopal is above politics and is helped and praised by all. He used his Ministership for the good of people, especially in Kerala. I was not able to co-operate with BJP politically, due to ideological differences, but had good relations with him. That is the strength of our democracy and system. But sadly, instead of competing with other parties for welfare and development of people, some parties (CPM), are attacking other parties with weapons, liquidating them, physically. This politics of confrontation and intolerance has to give way to politics of development, welfare and conciliation. I wish O Rajagopal long life in service of Kerala,” Shri Oommen concluded.

Sreesanth at Guruvayoor Temple - Offers prayers at Temple

The Kerala Speedster S. Sreesanth came to Guruvayoor to give thanks to Guruvayoorappan. Indian Speedster Sreesanth is devotee of Lord Guruvayoorappan and a regular visitor to the Temple.

Sreesanth was declared Man of the Match at the Kanpur Test against Sri Lanka where India recorded its 100th Test victory. Saturday is considered an auspicious day for devotees of the Sri Krishna Temple as it is Ekadashi, according to the Hindu calendar. Guruvayoor Temple is crowded on Saturday with full of devotees for Ekadashi Festival.

Reply to the critics and the people of own state for their enemity against the talented young pacer. unlike other states Kerala didn't support the Pacer to return back to the Team India. More over the Home Cricket authority tried to push him out of team India. Even though he played in county cricket and proved his talent. Finally Team India selection committee gave him chance. He used that chance and return Team India with valuable 5 wickets.

He is Devotee of Lord Vishnu(Guruvayurappan) and Shabarimala Ayyappan. He says really God only helped him to came back.Born-again pacer S Sreesanth, claiming to be one of the most misunderstood cricketers in the world, feared he may not play for India again after a series of controversies plagued his career. Star performer of day three of the second India-Sri Lanka Test, Sreesanth shared his fears of not playing for India again because of his serial disciplinary indiscretions. "To be honest, I never thought I will play for the country again. But God has been very kind and I got the opportunity at the right time," said Sreesanth, after his career-reviving five-wicket haul in the Sri Lankan first innings that put India on the threshold of a victory.

Sreesanth felt it was a sort of re-birth at the Green Park where he played his last Test against South Africa last year. "I played my last Test here and it's nice to start here again. It's like a cycle, you go back from here and come back here again," he said.

Kerala Speedster S Sreesanth put India in sight of a huge victory against Sri Lanka with a five-wicket haul on Day 3 of the second Test, at Green Park, in Kanpur, on Thursday.
Sreesanth, playing his first Test after a gap of nearly 18 months, claimed five wickets for 75 runs in 22 overs as the visitors conceded a 413 runs first innings deficit, India having amassed a mammoth 642 in their first innings.

Earlier, Sreesanth, who bowled an extended spell of nine overs in the morning session, claimed the wickets of Tharanga Paranavitana, Kumar Sangakkara and Thilan Samaraweera. The Kerala pacer went on to complete his second five-wicket haul in Test cricket by scalping Prasanna Jayawardene and Rangana Herath in the post-lunch session.

The PM was laughing. The conf call soon started as everyone joined the call...
