Kerala Devaswam Bill - Hindu Aikyavedi Vedi - Temple Bill will curb the religious freedom of Hindus.

The Hindu Aikya Vedi has convened a meeting of leaders of Hindu organisations at the Levy Hall of the Sree Krishnavilasam Palace at Fort here on Saturday to discuss the steps to be taken in the context of the government's decision to go ahead with the enactment of the Devaswom Bill which, it says, will curb the religious freedom of Hindus.

Hindu Aikya Vedi State general secretary E.S. Biju said here on Tuesday that the meeting would be inaugurated by Uthradom Tirunal Marthanda Varma, head of the royal family of erstwhile Travancore. Vedi general secretary Kummanam Rajasekharan would deliver the keynote address.

Earlier Janata Party president Subramanian Swamy inaugurated a meeting of leaders of Hindu organisations convened in Thiruvananthapuram on Saturday by the Hindu Aikya Vedi to discuss the Devaswom amendment Bill. Yogakshema Sabha leader Akkiramon Kalidasa Bhattathiripad, Hindu Aikya Vedi State general secretary E.S. Biju, former Travancore Devaswom Board president T.N. Upendranatha Kurup, Vedi leader Kummanam Rajasekharan, Harijana Samajam national president M.K. Kunjole, and Kshetra Vimochana Samithi president Swami Ayyappa Das were present.
