Sachin Tendulkar United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) Goodwill Ambassador

Indian cricket star Sachin Tendulkar has been named as a United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) Goodwill Ambassador that will allow him the opportunity to use his legendary popularity to raise public awareness and harness support for environmental action in India and the world.



The appointment, announced today, was made by UNEP Executive Director Achim Steiner, a UNEP press release said here.
