Veteran Malayalam actor Thilakan was Monday suspended from the Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes (AMMA) for 'indiscipline' after his tirade against the association and other senior actors.
'His frequent outbursts for no reason is in bad taste. He could have easily called us and asked us to intervene if he had any issues in working in any film. But we are not aware of any ban on him,' Innocent told
Meanwhile, Sohan Roy, the director of ‘Dam 999’, an international English movie project being produced by Marine BizTV, said here on Monday that Mr. Thilakan was being removed from the cast of the movie since he had been suspended from AMMA and because the Film Employees Federation of Kerala (FEFKA) had asked him not to cast Mr. Thilakan in the movie, which is based on the Mullaperiyar issue and involves an international cast including Bollywood actors.
